Pricing

Pricing

Our pricing is based on the material used, the weight of the print, and the machine time required to complete each job.

How our pricing works

At ForgeLab3D, pricing is based on three main factors: the filament type, the weight of material used, and the printing time needed to produce the object. This keeps pricing fair, flexible, and matched to the needs of each project.

Filament Types

Filament Type Main Function Examples of Use
PLA Easy to print, reliable, and ideal for general-purpose models Prototypes, display models, school projects, decorative items
PETG Stronger and more durable than PLA with good moisture resistance Functional parts, brackets, containers, outdoor-use items
ABS Tough and impact-resistant for more demanding parts Mechanical parts, housings, enclosures, workshop items
TPU Flexible and rubber-like material Phone cases, seals, grips, protective covers
Nylon Strong, durable, and wear-resistant Gears, hinges, engineering components, functional prototypes

Pricing Formula

The final price is calculated using:

  • Filament type – different materials have different costs
  • Weight – the more material used, the higher the cost
  • Printing time – longer print times increase machine and energy costs

Example Price

An example object made from PLA, weighing 50g, with a printing time of 6 hours, would cost:

£30
